The Preserve’s Double Barrel Steak has received the “Wine Spectator” Award of Excellence for the second consecutive year. This internationally coveted honor is presented to restaurants that offer 90+ wine selections from high quality producers meticulously curated to showcase ideal complements to their menus.

Wine lists must include all relevant information including, but not limited to, regional characteristics, vintage depth, and desirable pairings. A wide variety of choices is yet another critical criterion “Wine Spectator” Award of Excellence selection. So too is the demonstration of a true love of wine through staff training to ensure guests have knowledgeable assistance in choosing ideal pairings, the hosting of events such as wine dinners, and more.

The refined Double Barrel Steak menu features beef dry-aged on-site via a unique Himalayan salt process. As a nod to Rhode Island’s “Ocean State” moniker, “ocean steaks,” including swordfish, halibut and tuna, are featured. Simply put, Double Barrel Steak is both a seafood restaurant and a steakhouse. In homage to The Preserve’s outdoor experiences, game will also play a seasonal role on the menu.

Such diversity poses a significant challenge to the process of creating an ideal wine list -- one that in every respect is met by The Preserve’s commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences for its members and guests. “Wine Spectator” has spoken. We are flattered.
